Corn

For those who have never been educated about our corn and wonder why we say

Our Sweet Corn is Superior

Our Sweet Corn is hand picked fresh every day.

Our Sweet Corn is never refrigerated. Any time you feel our corn and it feels chilly, it is an indication of the cool dewy morning air in which it was picked.
We try to pick what we anticipate our needs will be for the day. Sometimes it means we need to pick during the day and sometimes it means we have some to throw out at the end of the day. So that we aren't wasteful, we share all our discarded corn and other vegetables with the animals around the farm.

We are always trying different varieties of corn to find out what grows best in our area. We try around 3 or 4 new kinds each year. Before we can sell them at our shack they have to pass our taste test. We start each season with a bi-color sweet corn and then follow it with a white sweet corn, having both kinds until the first frost. We feel that the bi-color corn and the white corn are far superior to the yellow corn, so we don't sell any yellow corn.
